Drop Leaf Table, Mid Century Abstract art Upcycled, Original design
A Mid century scissor leg Drop Leaf table with an oval top, shape typical of Mid Century Furniture designers such as McIntosh and Bendt Winge.
This example has been given an even more modern twist with an abstract design hand painted onto the table top, a Mole & Velvet original art design. Drop leaf tables like this one are so handy to have in the home due to them being slim in size when the table leaves are folded down.
The base colour of the table top is a cream tone called Clay Mid by Little Greene and it creates a lovely neutral tone that suits the fluid abstract hand painted design across it, which features blues and pinks. The painted table top has been sealed with a layer of clear varnish and then given a few coats of clear furniture wax to add a bit of protection and make it wipeable with a damp cloth to clean - the use of table mats/coasters is recommended to prolong the life of this paint effect.

Length when both leaves are both fully opened out - 155 cm
Width - 108 cm
Height - 74.5 cm
When both leaves are folded down - 108 cm wide by 25 cm
I have taken great care and attention in upcycling this beautiful piece, however due to the vintage nature any bumps or knocks are there to show the story of its previous life
