This is a quirky Limited Edition bureau Mid Century Modern cabinet by Mole & Velvet. It is perfectly imperfect and you can be sure that there isn't another like it! Art is meant to be fun and when you combine art with a functional piece of furniture what's not to love?! This piece has been lovingly upcycled in chalk paint in the colour 'graphite' and the legs have been distressed in places and given a coat of wax varnish. It has an added personality with the limited edition vibrant paint drip effect on the inside of the cabinet and on the drop-down cupboard door.
This fun piece could easily be used as a drinks cabinet, an office bureau/writing desk or even as storage for craft supplies etc. There are multiple uses plus it has a handy drawer with very typical mid century shaped gold handles.
The shape of this mid century modern piece is so futuristic which i feel gave me the inspiration to give it a space oddity vibe with the paint effect I have chosen.
Due to its vintage nature and handpainted finish, it is not perfect and although I have taken great care and attention to upcycle it, any knocks or bumps to the piece are there to tell the story of its past :)
